I began training as midwife in 1984, and passed the TDH state board midwifery exam in 1985. Apprenticed and
was a member of The Austin Lay Midwifery Association for several years before moving into rural TX in 1987,
where I began working as a rural midwifery assistant,  until taking a long sabbatical to raise my own children.

During that time  I worked with a local midwifery practice doing prenatal screenings and visits, and began
providing postpartum care for home birthing families, as well as continuing my studies and attending an
occasional birth.

During the years while I was raising and home schooling my own 3 children, I offered integrative childbirth
education classes as well as parenting classes based on attachment parenting principals.
During my period of  raising and home schooling my children, I enrolled in Apprentice Academics, a
midwifery course offered by Carla Hartley.

In 1988 after the birth of my second child, I completed my certification in infant massage and infant
cranial sacral massage through the International Association of Infant Massage.

I am most passionate about supporting, educating and serving families in the ways of conscious
conception, pregnancy, birthing, conscious postpartum care and attachment parenting.

I work in the greater Austin area as well as Bastrop county.
